
Ingredients for Making Arabian Pudding
- 5 slices of bread
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp cornflour/ custard powder
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1/2tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2tin condensed milk
Method for Making Arabian Pudding
- Add the custard powder, sugar and vanilla essence to cold milk and mix.
Note: Once the custard powder mixes well, bring it up to a boil while stirring continuously and let it cool down.
- In another bowl, mix together cream and condensed milk, keep aside.
- Toast the bread slices very slightly.
- To assemble, spread 2 spoons of custard in the bottom of a serving bowl, and layer on some bread slices.
- Add half the custard mixture and spread evenly.
- Drizzle on half the cream mixture.
- Repeat the same process one more time with the remaining bread, custard and cream mixture.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and let it refrigerate for a minimum of 6hrs, or better overnight.
- Serve cold.
