Sweet Potato Fries/Rounds

Sweet potato fries

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato, peeled
  • 1/4tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4tsp jeera powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp rice flour
  • oil to roast

Method

  1. Cut the sweet potato into thick rounds and add to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt, jeera powder, red chilli powder and mix together.
  3. Add the rice atta and mix to coat. You can sprinkle some water to ensure the rice atta and masalas coat the rounds.
  4. Arrange them on a hot pan and add enough oil to roast. Cover and cook on both sides until crispy on both sides and cooked through.

Tip: This makes a great addition to children’s snack box at school. I usually like to cut the rounds into strips to look like fries, and pair it with a fruit in my son’s snack box which he enjoys.
