
Ingredients
- 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup dahi
- ¾ th cup sugar
- ½ cup oil
- 1 ½ cups atta
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
For the crumble topping:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp atta
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
Method
- Prepare the crumble topping by crumbling together butter, atta, sugar and cinnamon powder with your fingers, and keep aside.
- Grease and dust a cake tin, preferably a wide and short tin to maximise the surface area.
- For the cake batter, mix together dahi, sugar, oil and vanilla essence.
Note: If using regular granulated sugar, keep this mixture aside for 5 minutes so that the sugar will dissolve.
- Add in the atta, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and chopped apples and combine.
- Pour this mixture into the prepared cake tin and evenly distribute the cinnamon crumble on top.
- Bake for 40-45 mins at 180 deg or until the top is well browned and a toothpick comes out clean.
