Before you begin
Time required: 15 minutes to mix, 15 minutes to bake
Equipment needed: Mixing bowl, baking tray, parchment paper, Oven
Previous day Prep: None
Storage: 3-5 days at room temperature in an airtight container

Ingredients
- 1 /2 cup jowar atta
- 1/2 cup whole wheat atta
- 1/4 cup cooking oil/ghee/melted butter
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
- 1 cheese cube, grated
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp Roasted jeera powder
- salt to taste
Method
- Add the jowar atta, salt, and sesame seeds to a wide mixing bowl and drizzle in the oil.
- Mix together with your fingers until the mixture resembles wet sand. It should clump together when pressed.
- At this point, add in the grated cheese, red chilli powder, jeera powder and drizzle in water as much as is required to form a firm dough.
- Roll the dough between 2 plastic sheets to the thickness of a paratha.
- Prick across with a fork and cut to your desired shapes. You can also use a cookie cutter to make fun shapes. Here I have cut into sticks.
- Arrange these on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C, until light brown around the edges. This will take about 15 minutes
- Let it cool down before storing in an airtight container.
Note: This makes a good snack for kids’ school alongside some fruit
