- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp cornflour mixed in 1/4th cup water
- 1 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
Method for Making Thai Chilli-Basil Chicken
- Heat oil in a wok on a large flame. Add chopped garlic and stir fry till the raw smell goes.
- Add the minced chicken and stir fry, breaking the pieces as you go to avoid large lumps of meat.
- Add the soya sauce, oyster sauce, chillies, basil leaves and stir fry on a high flame.
- Mix the cornflour in water and add this mixture to the wok. This will give a good thickness to the dish. Add more water if you would like a thinner consistency.
- Adjust salt, and serve alongside hot steamed rice.
